“Candice did a great job comforting me through the transitional pains, which was probably the worst part, I couldn’t remember how to breathe and she was there every step of the way, reminding me how to breath through the pain and comforting me through it. “Candice Kemper is a friend of mine and she supported my family during one of the hardest moments of my life. As a doula she provided; loving, attentive care for us and our first son when he was only three weeks old and I was unexpectedly hospitalized.
During that time, as our friend she cared for our son for 3 days. Including, willingly, acting as wet nurse for him as we requested, since she had a daughter just 3 months before we had our son. She made sure I could still see my baby by bringing him to the hospital, which meant more to me than I can express.

Volunteer Work
With my desire to have doula care available to all women that would like one, I have spent some time volunteering in Namibia, Africa with birthing and postpartum women living in poverty. With public hospital conditions that are not ideal, the women in Namibia are in need of support more than most. Here I have shared the testimony of one of the women I had the privilege of supporting along with a photo of another.
